A connected ecosystem for smarter farming

A busy CNH Tech Area during the show

Tech Day 2025 was our chance to show how we are leading the transformation of agriculture through advanced technology including AI, with a deep commitment to soil health, sustainability, and farmer profitability. Our company’s innovations are designed to address the urgent global challenge of feeding a growing population with limited resources, making agriculture the place where the next great wave of growth, technology, and impact will happen.

What made this event truly special was that we were not celebrating alone. We shared our progress with colleagues, the financial community, and the media.

It was a powerful opportunity to showcase the value we create together and to reinforce our position as industry leaders. The event included panel discussions where our R&D colleagues were able to get to the heart of how these innovations will make a difference to farmers the world over across the full crop cycle.

Our CEO Gerrit Marx emphasized that “the world depends on agriculture, and agriculture depends on innovation,” highlighting AI as a key enabler for rapid progress across our products, people, and processes.

Some of our technology highlights

Autonomous Tillage:

In development, this technology will help farmers reallocate labor and maximize efficiency.

Next-Gen Planters:

By 2030, expect integrated guidance, remote management, and real-time monitoring via FieldOps™, to reduce labor and maximize uptime.

Sense and Act Spraying:

AI-driven weed detection and variable rate application will deliver up to 60% herbicide savings. Green-on-Green spraying (launching 2027) will cut herbicide use by up to 80%.

R4 Autonomous Robot Family:

Fully autonomous, cab-less vehicles for repetitive tasks, offering up to 100% CO₂ reduction.

All these technologies are integrated through the FieldOps™ Digital Farm Management Platform, providing real-time data, fleet management, and remote support for CNH brands. Our open digital ecosystem enables seamless collaboration with agronomists, seed suppliers, and dealers, who are equipped with CNH’s AI Tech Assistant for predictive maintenance and faster issue resolution.

Soil health: Protecting our most valuable asset

With only 3% of the Earth’s surface suitable for crops and 33% of soils already degraded, CNH’s technology is helping farmers increase productivity sustainably to a growing global population of more than eight billion.

  • Nutrient Stratification: Precision tillage and planting optimize nutrient placement.
  • Crop Residue Management: Automation improves soil fertility and reduces erosion.
  • Water Conservation: Advanced irrigation and variable rate applications conserve water.
  • Integrated Pest Management: AI-driven spraying reduces chemical use and environmental impact.

Looking ahead

As agriculture enters a new era, we remain committed to helping farmers protect their legacy and feed the future - one field at a time. We can all take pride in our role as pioneers, driving innovation and supporting customers worldwide.

Marie Mouton

Let’s hear from Marie Mouton – Head of Global Communications for New Holland - who project managed our successful Tech Day at Agritechnica

What were the main objectives of Tech Day this year?

“Tech Day was about showcasing CNH’s strength of innovation to our audiences, which were investors, analysts, general and tech media.”

Which technologies or solutions made the biggest impact?

“The drivers of the event and the technologies we showcased were the health of the soil. We highlighted technological developments under the banner of agronomy and soil protection. Then we explained our technologies along the agricultural crop cycle from field preparation to seed and plant, grow and protect and harvest.”

Tell us about what goes into organizing an event of this scale?

“The most important point was having the right speakers on stage to truly bring our technologies to life. Alongside the CEO and team, we invited a customer to share how these innovations unlocked the full potential of their farm, and an agronomist from CNH to provide a practical lens on soil protection. These testimonials added invaluable perspective to complement the expertise of our unbeatable specialists, who not only answer every question but also shape the vision for future development. The event was broadcast live, with every detail carefully prepared - from timing and delivery to aesthetics and audiovisuals. We created compelling footage of technology in action and a video framing the challenges we aim to solve, all woven into a storytelling approach. To support our audience of content creators, we also provided brochures, press releases, and materials to make their work easier.”
